Care Ministry

It is important for us to understand that the church is a place for people to come and be helped and healed. This truly aligns with the Grow and Go part of our mission. Those who choose to serve in this area of ministry should have the following characteristics:

  • A True Passion for Helping People
  • An Attitude that is Inclusive of all Cultures, Races, Sexual Orientations and Socio-Economic Statuses
  • A Willingness to Pray with People
  • Willing to Go Above and Beyond

Ministries that fall under Care Ministry would be:

  • Congregational Care
  • Keep the Change
  • Intercessory Prayer


Engage Ministry

Engagement is critical to any successful organization. This truly aligns with the Give part of our mission as it is important for us to Give our full attention to Visitors and Members who connect with The Change Church both physically and virtually. Those who serve in this area of ministry should have the following characteristics:

  • Enjoy Meeting New People
  • Open to Helping People
  • Interested in Being a Representative of The Change Church
  • Willing to Go Above and Beyond

Ministries that fall under the Engage Ministry would be:

  • Greeters
  • Ushers
  • Visitors Engagement
  • New Members


Music Ministry

The Psalmist would write, “Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord”. Our Music ministry is a vital part of ushering people into the Presence of God. This aligns with the Give area of our mission as we lead people in giving Glory to God. Although it seems obvious, it is important that we list the characteristics for those desiring to serve in this area of ministry:

Must Possess a Musical Gift:

  • Singing, Playing of an Instrument or Dancing
  • Must Be Willing to Attend Rehearsals
  • Must Be Willing to Audition
  • Willing to Go Above and Beyond

Ministries that fall under Music Ministry would be:

  • Praise Team
  • Band
  • Dance Ministry
  • Choir



Youth Ministry

Train up a Child in the way he/she would go. This is great wisdom from the writer of Proverbs and aligns with our mission to Give and Grow. We must give clear instruction to our Youth in order to help them grow. Those interested in serving in this area of Ministry must have the following characteristics:

  • Must Love Young People
  • Must Be Willing to Submit to a Criminal Background and Sex Offender Check
  • Must Have Patience
  • Must Be Willing to Study Teaching Material
  • Willing to Go Above and Beyond

Ministries that fall under Youth Ministry would be:

  • Children’s Church Teacher/Aide
  • Teen Church Teacher/Aide
  • Youth Outing Chaperone
  • Nursery
  • Youth Tutor
